Kumar Sangakkara was robbed of a possible double century by a shocking umpiring decision as Australia won the second Test by 96 runs today.
Chasing a world-record total of 507 to win on a flat Bellerive Oval pitch, the tourists resumed on 3-247 this morning and were bowled out for 410 in the third over after lunch.
Australia won the two-match series 2-0 and claimed their 14th consecutive win, two short of the world record set by Steve Waugh's Australian side in 2001.

Mike Hussey and Phil Jacques posted back-to-back hundreds and Muttiah Muralitharan closed in a bowling world record Friday in the second test between Australia and Sri Lanka.
After winning the toss and electing to bat, Australia reached 329 for three at the end of the first day at Bellerive Oval. Hussey, who also scored a century in Australia's innings and 40-run win in the first test at Brisbane, was unbeaten on 101 and Michael Clarke was batting on 8. Jacques was out for 150 and Sri Lankan spin bowler Muralitharan, who started the Bellerive match needing seven wickets to surpass Shane Warne's record 708 test wickets, returned 1-62 from 25 overs.
